Students at Wilson's Hospital School have one of the finest sports halls in the Midlands which encloses a full-sized basketball court and four badminton courts. Wilson's pupils have been playing badminton for many years, first in the "ball-alley" and nowadays in the Weafer Hall sports hall. Practices take place through the week on Wednesday afternoons and players of all abilities are welcome.
Teams take part in the Westmeath Championships, usually held in Moate. From here the winners qualify to represent Westmeath in the Leinster Championships played in Baldoyle.
