Grants and Bursaries (2023/24)
Wilson’s Hospital School is a Church of Ireland co-educational Boarding and Day school situated in the heart of rural Ireland. The School has a long tradition of academic excellence, having been established since 1761. Wilson’s continues to grow and develop in all areas.
New ultra-modern classrooms, and a multi-million euro school extension will further enhance the onward progression of the school. The School’s Information Technology resources, Technology Department and Design and Communication Graphics Department feature the latest technology and provide students with an excellent foundation for further study or for the work environment.
Our school, set in extensive grounds, offers programmes in 20 subjects to Leaving Certificate level and is renowned for its extra-curricular and sports activities, including, hockey, badminton, orienteering, canoeing, rugby, soccer, athletics, swimming and more. A full-size multi-purpose Sports Hall was opened in September 2001, with new all-weather rugby and soccer pitches which were officially opened in April 2013. We completed the construction of an astroturf hockey pitch and are home to Mullingar Hockey Club.
The academic success of our students is exemplified by the strong progression to 3rd Level.
